History of the Department

Our college, Shree Ram College Rampur, a premier institute located in a rural belt of western Odisha, was established in 1979.

In view of the local demand to give a boost to science education, the Faculty of Science was introduced in the year 1981–82. +2 courses started in 1983–84.

The +3 degree course in Science was introduced under Sambalpur University in 1991–92. Honors introduced in 2016–17 under CBCS pattern.

Promoting scientific temperament among students to become contributing members of society in a changing global environment. Our vision is to impact practical skills and chemistry application in daily life.

To carve a special position in Sonepur by achieving academic excellence. Making students environmentally responsible and research-oriented for the state and nation.
